Still having the very best time. We hopped over to the Ace hotel for a couple more nights. It's got a good vibe and we ran into one of my friends who I haven't seen in years- so fun! We've been chatting about future plans, sketching home ideas and talking about goals. Also, eating... a bunch of eating. Probably too much. Definitely way too much.
Day two was filled with more cocktails and long walks plus swimming and lots of laughter. We started talking about our year 3 marriage goals. We had the best pizza and peach caprese at Birba. We relaxed and felt really connected all day. We're also pretty in love with Palm Springs.
Jeremy and I snuck away for a quick vacation to celebrate two years of marriage. We're in Palm Springs for a long weekend. We're enjoying long walks, amazing food, the most colorful hotel ever and lots of sunshine.
We absolutely loved brunch at Cheeky's. Wowee- a flight of bacon?? That was epic and the jalapeno one was our favorite. I had a tomato sandwich that was basically life changing.
We did a little shopping in Palm Springs and Palm Desert. That was fun. We also spent most of our afternoon traveling to see Salvation Mountain together.
Cocktails at Tinto where we also had a 1 million course dinner. That was an experience. :)
We're having the best time. Today is for more relaxing, exploring, eating, swimming and photo snapping. Happy weekend!
At times like this I feel like the normal thing to say is, "It feels like only yesterday." But it's not true.
If I'm being honest, our wedding day feels like a lifetime ago. The past two years have been packed with joys and pains, travels, new traditions, big steps and little memories. It's been intense, busy and so full of love. It truly feels like we've been married forever, which is something to celebrate!
If our next two years are anything like our first two I don't even know how I'll cope with all the love and joy that this little life contains. We have goals and dreams, but for today all I want to do is sit back and be thankful for the two best years of my life. I love you, Jeremy Larson. ♥
We got my mom some gifts, but we know that quality time together is the thing she really wants. So we made little coupons for fun times we can have together this coming year. It's a gift that keeps on giving. Now I can't wait for her to cash them in! :)
I am so incredibly thankful for my mother. She's my hero and everything I hope to be as a mother someday.
ps- a few flowers have bloomed in our yard. They're making me happy every morning when I walk outside!
Everyday Elsie is the personal blog of Elsie Larson. I like crafty messes, learning new tricks and cocktail parties. My true love is photographing everyday life.
